Easter braids by dr. oetker

Ingredients

  • Raisins — 100 g

  • Powdered sugar (Dr. Oetker Vanilla) — 1 bunch
  • Baking Powder (Dr. Oetker) — 2 tsp.
  • salt — 1/4 tsp.
  • The juice (lemon polivnki)
  • Eggs — 2 pcs
  • Butter (melted) — 100 g
  • Milk (ghee) — 270-280 ml
  • Flour — 500 g

    Mix in a bowl bulk ingredients for the dough, add the juice of half a lemon, egg, melted butter and milk. Corolla knead the dough, cover and let sit for 10 minutes. Add the fruit and almonds and knead the dough so that it does not stick to the walls of the bowl. If the dough is too thick, add 1 — 2 tablespoons of milk, if too liquid — 1-2 tablespoons of flour. Sprinkle with flour, cover and leave in a warm place, make the dough rise, and significantly increased in volume. Put the dough on a floured board, knead and divide into 6 equal pieces. Form 6 rolls length of about 35 cm, three rollers weave braid. The ends of the press together. Braids lay on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Do the same with the remaining 3 rolls. Leave the dough in a warm place for another 20 minutes, brush with beaten egg zaiem and bake in the preheated oven.

    Electric oven: 180 — 190 ° C hot-air oven: 160 — 180 ° C Baking time: about 30 — 40 minutes each pan. Pierce the «pigtail» wooden stick. If it stays dry, so the cake is baked. When the «pigtails» cool, sprinkle them with powdered sugar and serve.

    Note: «Pigtails» can be frozen. Before serving, let them thaw or quick thaw in the microwave.
