Candied watermelon peels

I recently decided to cook something that has not previously done, and my eye fell on the watermelon, and it is on its crust, of which make candied fruit. When I tried dried candied fruit, I was very pleasantly surprised, because the specific and unusual taste was not the cloying, softened and became enjoyable. Say what candied watermelon taste complicated, can not make them with nothing to compare what they are — something special. As a result, the result of his experiment, and I’m happy with my family :). By the way, a wasp that flew on the apple strudel, today arrived in the candied fruit, while I photographed them on the balcony, and even had time to eat a little, until I looked through photos on the computer :). From 1 kg of watermelon peels I got 950 grams of candied fruits. These can be cooked candied melon of crusts, and they should be stored in a glass jar or cardboard box. Watermelon is desirable to use from his garden as in the purchase may contain large amounts of concentrates.


Ingredients

  • Watermelon rind — 1 kg
  • Sugar — 1. 2 kg
  • Water — 750 ml

After this time, put the cover back on the fire, and cook for 15 minutes, and then leave again for 8 — 12 hours before adding these citric acid.
