Peppers stuffed for - Bulgarian

This wonderful recipe I found on an Italian website. In Bulgaria, this dish is called pig byurek. For pigs better not take large peppers. Recipe struck my family their wonderful taste, the peppers are obtained incredibly delicious with spicy filling and crispy. These peppers can be served in a warm or cold as a snack, we no longer liked the warm :). And to complement the meal, serve it with a glass of good red wine:).

Ingredients

  • Sweet pepper — 1 kg
  • feta or cheese — 200 g
  • Cottage cheese — 50 g
  • Tomatoes — 1
  • Egg chicken — 3
  • cloves garlic — 4
  • The greens (basil, mint, parsley, dill) — 1 bunch
  • Breading crackers
  • flour
  • Vegetable oil
  • Note

  • 1. Peppers bake in the oven, cover with cling film for 15 minutes, give a cool, peeled and seeds. Do this carefully, because the baked peppers are very delicate and can break.
  • 2. brynza mash (or rub on a grater) with cottage cheese, chopped herbs and crushed garlic. Tomato finely chop, squeeze the juice. Add the tomato and two eggs in the cottage cheese, mix.
  • 3. Prepared peppers fill stuffing. Then crumble them in flour, beaten egg and breadcrumbs. In a frying pan warm up a large amount of vegetable oil and fry the peppers on both sides until golden brown. Roasted peppers piled on a paper towel to remove excess oil. Peppers can be served warm as a main dish or cold as an appetizer.
