Moldovan pies with cheese

pies — a flat cake or pies are very popular in the Moldavian cuisine. The filling can be made from potatoes, meat, cabbage, cheese, mushrooms, pumpkins, apples and so on.. These cakes are very tasty in the heat and cold. They can easily take with you on a picnic instead of sandwiches, cakes since received very satisfying.

On 8 — 10 pieces.

Ingredients

  • Dough:
  • Flour — 500 — 700 g
  • chicken egg — 1
  • Vegetable oil — 3 4 tablespoons
  • yogurt, sour cream or yogurt — 300 g
  • Filling:
  • Cottage cheese — 500 — 600 g
  • The greens — 1 bunch
  • chicken egg — 1
  • salt — to taste
  • Note

  • 1. sift the flour into a bowl (500 g), add the oil , egg, salt and sour cream, knead the dough. If necessary, add the remaining flour. We roll down the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap and send in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • 2. For the filling, mix cottage cheese with finely chopped herbs, egg and salt.
  • 3. The dough is divided into 8 — 10 equal pieces and roll out each piece thinly. In the middle lay out the filling, then add up the edge to the center, and pressed cakes. In a frying pan warm up a sufficient amount of vegetable oil and fry the cakes on both sides until golden brown over medium heat.
