Pickled herring by - Radziwill

This dish of Belarusian cuisine, which was present on many holiday tables, including on Kolyadnom table. The authentic recipe, which was prepared by our grandmothers, I found with great difficulty and the help of people who know the history of Belarus and its culture at their fingertips.

Ingredients

  • Herring fillet — 200 g

  • Raisins — 3 teaspoons
  • Water — 3 Art.
  • Dry white wine — 1 tbsp.
  • Sugar — 1 teaspoon
  • salt — 3 tablespoons
  • The greens — 1 bunch
  • Note

  • 1. Herring my, dried and cut into pieces. Water is mixed with spices and sugar and cook over low heat for 5 minutes after boiling. The mixture is filtered and mixed with wine. Again bring to a boil, add the washed raisins and allowed to cool. Onions cut into thin rings and pour over boiling water. The clean, parboiled banks layers spread herring and onion, pour the marinade, cover with lids and send in the refrigerator overnight. Serve, sprinkle with chopped parsley or dill.
