Kutia — a porridge made from cereals, in most cases, barley. It was prepared at the funeral, Santa, and Christmas Carols Radunitsa. Kutyu served with butter or well-fed — Belarusian dish of honey or sugar, dilute with boiling water and seasoned with poppy seeds or poppy seed milk. In other cases kutyu cooked wheat or rice added nuts, raisins and other.
At the moment I’m working on a diploma on the theme of Belarusian kolyadnogo table, so I cook every dish on their own, looking for authentic recipes that turned out to be a very difficult task. I think the Belarusians will be interesting to try it, and maybe remember that our grandmothers prepared.
