Satay chicken with peanut sauce

I continue to try different dishes for our family Malay and Indonesian cuisine. Today we have a menu satay chicken with peanut sauce, which is made from peanut butter. The dish is very tasty and at the same time simple. Instead, you can use chicken pork or beef, and the cooking time is increased.


Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken
  • Marinade:
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons fish sauce
  • 0,5 teaspoons curry
  • 2 teaspoons of apple cider or wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoons chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoons brown sugar
  • salt and pepper — to taste
  • bamboo skewers (soak in water)
  • peanut sauce:
  • 120 g peanut butter
  • 200 ml of water
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoons apple cider or wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • Tabasco sauce — to taste and desire
  • Note

  • 1. Garlic grind through Press and mix in a bowl with the remaining ingredients for the marinade. Fillet cut into thin strips and shifts in the marinade, stir and leave for 20 minutes.
  • 2. To prepare the sauce, finely chop the garlic in a saucepan warm up 1 tablespoons of vegetable oil and fry the garlic for 2 minutes. Pour water, add all the other ingredients for the sauce, stir and cook for 2 — 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and allowed to cool.
  • 3. Chicken strung on wooden skewers and kebabs fry in a pan until cooked. Serve with sauce and vegetables. Bon Appetit!
