Garnish potato with ginger

Ingredients

  • Refined vegetable oil — 1 tbsp.
  • Turmeric
  • Mustard (black seeds) — 1 tbsp.
  • Cumin (Seed) — 0.5 tbsp.
  • Cumin (ground) — 1 tbsp.
  • Coriander — 1 tbsp.
  • pepper (cayenne) — 1 tbsp.
  • Tomatoes — 2 pcs
  • Ginger — 7.5 cm
  • salt
  • Potatoes — 750 g
  • Spinach — 2 handfuls

  • Description

    Heat the oil in a skillet and fry a few minutes all the spices, stirring constantly to avoid burnt. Place the tomatoes, ginger and cook until you get a homogeneous mass. Pour 300 ml of water, add the potatoes and how to salt. Cover and keep on low heat for 15-20 minutes (until the potatoes are tender). If you want, add the spinach and cook a few more minutes. This dish can be served as a side dish with fish or meat, roasted on the grill, but it is good in and of itself with bread and natural yoghurt.
