Succotash

Ingredients

  • Bacon smoked (without crust, cut into strips) — 150 g
  • onion (finely chopped) — 1 onion
  • White beans, canned (drained) — 2 cans (400 g each)
  • Chicken broth — 100 ml
  • Corn (cob, cut into thick disks) — 3 pcs
  • Cream — 3 tbsp.
  • Parsley (chopped)

    Excellent dish with corn-based American-Indian recipe. Serve it as a side dish or as a main course, laid out on the baked potatoes in their skins.

    1. Put the bacon in a frying pan and heat over low heat until the oil begins to flow. Increase the heat and fry until golden brown. Add the onion and cook for about 3 minutes until soft.

    2. Add beans and broth in a saucepan and cook over low heat until the broth is not boiled down to half.

    3. Add the corn and cream and cook for 5 minutes until the corn is tender. Add parsley.
