Cheese fondue in a pumpkin

Ingredients

  • Pumpkin (medium size) — 1 pc
  • Olive oil — 2 tbsp.
  • onion (finely chopped) — 1 onion
  • Garlic (chopped) — 1 clove
  • Chile (red, finely chopped) — 1 pc
  • Mushrooms (chopped) — 200g
  • White wine (dry) — 150 ml
  • corn flour (mixed with 1 tablespoon of water) — 1 tbsp.
  • Sage (chopped) — 3 sprigs
  • Emmental cheese (or Gruyere, grated) — 600 g
  • Cream double — 150 ml

  • Description

    Elegant holiday table decoration for Halloween! Pumpkin — a mandatory attribute, and butter, cheese fondue — an original method of its use.

    1. Preheat oven to 180 g C (350 F, Gas 4). Cut off from the top of the pumpkin and set aside. Clean the inside of the pumpkin seeds and fibers. Rub the inside with salt and pepper and coat with half the oil. Put in an oven dish and bake for 45 minutes

    2. Heat the remaining oil in a frying pan, add the onion, garlic and chili, stir fry 3-4 minutes, add the mushrooms and cook for 3 minutes Add the wine, bring to a boil. Remove from heat, stir flour, herbs and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted; add cream.

    3. Pour the mixture into the pumpkin, sprinkle with chopped sage. Serve with bread, use a spoon to scrape the pulp of the pumpkin.
