Green peas with romaine lettuce and thyme

Ingredients

  • Garlic — 2 cloves
  • Butter
  • bay leaf — 2 pcs
  • Thyme — 2 sprigs
  • Mint — 1 sprig
  • White wine — a little
  • Chicken broth ((or vegetable)) — 450 ml
  • romaine lettuce (washed and sliced along) — 2 Kochnov
  • Green Peas pods (fresh) — 200 g
  • salt
  • Pepper (black, freshly ground)

    In a saucepan, place the garlic, butter, bay leaf, thyme and mint, pour the wine and broth. Bring to a boil and simmer 10 minutes, until almost all the liquid has evaporated.

    Add the lettuce and peas, cover, and simmer for another 5-10 minutes, until vegetables are tender. In no case do not overcook! Season with salt and pepper. This dish can be served on their own and as an original side dish to roast chicken, duck breast or lamb.
