Shakshuk with feta cheese

Ingredients

  • Refined vegetable oil — 4 tbsp.
  • onion (large) — 1 onion
  • Bulgarian pepper (sweet, preferably colorful) — 4 pieces
  • Tomatoes (ripe) — 4 pcs
  • Pepper (small, green burning) — 1 pc
  • Chile (sauce) — 1 tsp .
  • salt — to taste
  • Pepper (black, ground) — to taste
  • Eggs — 4 pcs
  • Feta — 80 g
  • Parsley (fresh)

  • Description

    1. Onions finely chopped, pepper cut into strips or cubes, hot pepper (without seeds and partitions) — thin rings. Tomatoes pour boiling water, let stand for a few minutes, remove the peel and cut into cubes.

    2. Put the pan on a moderate fire, and pour the warm oil, brown the onion in it. Add a pinch of sugar, hot pepper, sweet peppers and continue to fry for a few minutes. Then put the pan tomatoes, chili sauce and simmer, stirring occasionally, about 15 minutes or until most of the sauce is not evaporated. Season with salt and spices to taste, mix gently.

    3. A wooden spoon to make a recess in the vegetable mixture and let them whole eggs. Protein lightly stir into the mixture. Salt and pepper eggs.

    4. Without stirring, to keep the heat for 10 minutes or until the egg is not yet ready. Remove from heat, add to the pan diced or crumbled feta, sprinkle with herbs and serve immediately.
