Poppy cake with lemon icing

Ingredients

  • Butter (mild) — 250g
  • Sugar (small) — 250 g (possible)
  • Eggs (whip) — 4 Pieces
  • Flour ‘self-raising’ — 250 g
  • The lemon (juice and zest) — 1 pc
  • Mac — 100 g
  • To glaze

  • Powdered sugar — 250 g
  • The lemon (zest and juice) — 2 pcs

  • Description

    cupcake recipe from «Quick and easy». Slightly lemon and very poppy.

    The recipe for one great cake:

    1. The oven is heated to 180 C (350 F). The shape of the lubricating oil, and paving the baking paper.

    2. Electric mixer, beat butter and sugar until the mixture turns white and becomes air. Add the eggs gradually, beating well after each addition. Interfere with the flour, then juice with zest and poppy seeds. The dough consistency is obtained as a thick cream.

    3. We spread the batter into the prepared form, align the top and bake for about 1 hr. 10 minutes until it is golden and the stick will come out dry.

    4. We take out the cake from the oven and leave to cool on a wire rack in the form of 20-30 minutes. Then turn over the form, we obtain cake and cool completely.

    5. For the glaze in a cup of powdered sugar add a little zest and pour the lemon juice until you get a lot of consistency as a slightly thickened cream. Spreadable icing on cooled cake and leave until it hardens. Store in a tightly sealed container.
