Chocolate cake in the form of a pumpkin

This recipe I decided to cook for the cooking contest, find him for me Anya, for which she thanks a lot. Unfortunately, the composition of the recipe and the fact that the picture was significantly different in the magazine, in the photo was a small pumpkin, and the recipe was given 2 forms volume 1250 ml. I doubted a little, but still began to prepare. Testa is a bit, so I took the smallest form that I had — 20 cm. Korzh were very thin, so when overlaying each other, they looked like a pumpkin (as it was intended recipe) and I started to figure out how to get out. As a result of the two cakes I cut six circles, folded them in three greased jelly and crop the bottom and top, so that they resemble the shape of a pumpkin. Then glaze has covered them (I did half) and then follow the recipe. The first three photos made the evening so that they are dark, izviniyayus. As a result, I got two little tykvochki, delicious and fun. If you decide to cook a cake in the Halloween, use twice the ingredients and bake in the form of 20 cm, or use the same amount of ingredients and bake in the form of 14 — 15 cm. The most convenient way to cook this cake in the evening, smear it with glaze and allow to dry it all night, I have it not completely dried up, and so faces on pumpkins turned out not very accurate, although I tried very hard … fruitcake taste was very delicious and chocolate:)

Ingredients

  • The pumpkin — 300 g
  • Dark chocolate — 150 g
  • Butter — 150 g
  • Flour — 225 g
  • Brown sugar — 150 g
  • Cocoa — 20 g
  • Baking powder — 2 teaspoons
  • Vanilla sugar — 1 package
  • Egg chicken — 4
  • An egg white (for glaze) — 2
  • Any yellow jam — 2 tablespoons
  • Powdered sugar — 375 g
  • Orange juice — 2 tablespoons
  • The orange food coloring
  • Note

  • 1. Pumpkin seeds and cleaned from the peel and grind in a blender or three on a grater. Finely chop the chocolate. Melt the butter and give it to cool. Mix the flour, sugar, a pinch of salt, cocoa, baking powder and vanilla.
  • 2. Add 4 eggs and stir thoroughly with a mixer.
  • 3. Add the melted butter, pumpkin and chocolate chips, stir and spread half the dough in a greased with butter and floured form. Send the form in the preheated 180 degree oven for 20 — 30 minutes. When the dough is ready, remove it from the oven and let rest under foil for 40 minutes to cool down. Then remove foil and let cool completely. If a thick jam, a little heated it in a pan and grease the cake first. Cover the top and if the second Korzh shortcakes not semicircular shape, then trim them so that they resembled the shape of a pumpkin.
  • 4. To prepare the glaze, whisk the egg white with orange juice and powdered sugar. Add the orange dye and stir gently smear the icing on the «pumpkin». Left to dry for several hours.
