Vereshchaka

Vereshchaka — a dish of Belarusian cuisine. This dish has been known since the middle of the XVIII century. . Gradually the name rasprostranilosna serves not only sausages. Today Belarus Vereshchak or mochankoy called fried or cooked slices of sausage, bacon, pork ribs with hot spices and adding flour to stew in the oven and eat as a sauce for pancakes. White sausage called sausage, cooked from beef rubbed in the mash and spices. Since I was in the shop did not find, I had to use pork. It was very tasty, despite how little food is required for the preparation of this dish.


Ingredients

  • White sausage — 0. 5 kg
  • Beer — 0. 5 l
  • Bulb — 1
  • Flour — 2 tablespoons
  • butter — 2 tablespoons
  • vinegar — 1 teaspoon
  • salt, pepper and sugar — to taste
  • Note

  • 1. Sausage boil 30 minutes in beer, half diluted with water. Finely chop the onion and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown. Flour and butter, add to the onions and fry for half a minute, stirring constantly.
  • 2. Then, pour a little broth in which the cooked sausage with stirring blades (i Vila 1.5 cups).
  • 3. The resulting sauce salt, pepper, add the vinegar and a pinch of sugar. Sausage cut into slices the thickness of 1 — 1.5 cm, put them to the sauce and simmer with the lid closed 10 — 12 minutes on low heat.
